Do you have a habit of holding back?

To be honest, I do. But it makes me wonder, why should I?
As the same thing won’t be a matter of concern after a decade. By holding back I am letting go all the wonderful times and memories that I had experienced and shared with that person in the past. If I think about those times, they still make me smile.

Just because of one incident or a series of incidents over a short period of time, should I get rid of the bond we shared or Instead should I convince myself that it was a phase of life and that has passed away? I have a life ahead to look forward to. And If I continue holding back that ill feeling in my heart I would loose some special relations that got stronger over the years and took no time to weaken and loose the essence of love and trust.

These thoughts whirl around my mind like a cyclone. As whatever happened scared my heart and I still feel the pain. For a moment I think of forgetting everything and starting fresh. The next moment I feel a sudden gasp and I find myself standing at the same place and wounded.

It is a strange feeling hard to describe and a question that has multiple answers. I hope I

can let go and make myself free from this burden.
I wish things can be as they were, Life would be much brighter to look forward to …..

Gautama Buddha

The first image on reading these two words that flash in your mind is this figure that symbolizes Peace and Purity.

A spiritual leader who was the founder of Buddhism. Born as a prince but wealth and luxuries did not lure him. Being kept away from all forms of religious knowledge, the concepts of old age, sickness and death, he had no idea about the the sufferings in the world. But one day with the sight of an old man, a diseased in pain and a corpse, his mind was flooded with numerous questions. And in the urge to seek answers to the endless doubts, the prince soon renounced all his worldly affairs in order to embark on a journey of self-discovery. Finally after years of rigorous contemplation and meditation, he found Enlightenment, and became the Buddha, meaning “awakened one” or “the enlightened one”.

Gautama Buddha is a major figure in Buddhism. The religion of Buddhism has its foundation in his teachings; he gave the Four Noble Truths which express the basic orientation of Buddhism and provide a conceptual framework of the Buddhist thought, and proposed the Eightfold Path to end suffering.
The secret behind staying calom, cool and always smiling can be unveild by the 11 lessons given by Buddha. You can surelt attain that level of serenity if you follow them with heart.
They are:
1. “Three things cannot be hidden: the sun, the moon and the truth.”
No matter how much you try to conceal the truth, it will be known one day or the other. It’s foolish to cover up lies because the truth reveals itself in the most honest way.
2. “You will not be punished for your anger; you will be punished by your anger.”
Anger is a lethal weapon. Apart from slaying the enemy, it also slays you.  When you’re angry, your words deceive you and they hurt others. Therefore, it’s advisable to remain silent and not speak when something annoys you.
3. “You can search throughout the entire universe for someone who is more deserving of your love and affection than you are yourself, and that person is not to be found anywhere. You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.”
We often expect to receive love and affection from others. In that process, we start neglecting ourselves. We try too hard to get attention. However, we forget that loving one’s own self comes before loving others. You cannot love selflessly, until and unless you understand yourself.
4. “We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves.”
The message here is to think happy thoughts that will keep you happy throughout the day. Being optimistic is better than having negative thoughts. Seeing the glass half-full is a way better perspective than seeing the glass half empty.
5. “You only lose what you cling to.”
Getting attached to a thing is the biggest mistake we can make in our lives. It is when we get too dependent on it that we start losing it.
6. “Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.”
Indeed an enlightening quote! Here, Buddha wants us to learn from our own experiences and not from the reviews of others. What suits one person may not necessarily suit another.
7. “Physical charms attract the eyes, goodness attracts the mind.”
Good looks are an asset – however, a good character is an identity. It’s completely wrong to judge someone only by their looks and not by their character.
8. “Just as on a rubbish heap swept up on a main road a purely fragrant, delightful lotus might there spring up, even so amidst those rubbish heaps (of men) does the savaka of the Perfectly Enlightened One outshine in insight the blind puthujjana”
Even if you’re surrounded by filth, but you’re strong enough to resist the bad, you will grow like a lotus in a mud lake. If you’re a student, with hard work, you will outshine all other ordinary students
9. “When you like a flower, you just pluck it. But when you love a flower, you water it daily.”
Buddha teaches us the difference between love and lust. In love, you nurture a relationship. In lust, you only satisfy your physical needs.
10. “A jug fills drop by drop.”
Starting small is the mantra for finishing big. It doesn’t matter if your start is a small attempt. If you keep at it steadily, you will achieve what you want to one day.
11. “It is better to travel well than to arrive.”
Life is one big journey and you’re a traveller. It’s better to live and travel well, than thinking about the future and losing your peace of mind. Living the fullest in the present is the best way to enjoy life, rather than living in the past or the future
Reading and forgeting all of the above is easy. But to implement the virtues and attain the peace of mind and soul is the best anyone could achieve in the entire lifespan.

Story with a Sketch

The best gift to have in life is ‘Parents’. There is no comparison when it comes to the Love we get from them. When it comes to giving, they can flood your life with happiness and fulfill your desires by sacrificing theirs

The best gift to have in life is ‘Parents’. There is no comparison when it comes to the Love we get from them. When it comes to giving, they  can flood your life with happiness and fulfill your desires by sacrificing theirs.

Respecting them should be something that comes from within and should not be taught as a lesson by statements of comparison or as an example from the surroundings. There are stages in life when your priorities change. You can blame the hormones or the adolescence for that. I understand.

But let me remind you. Since the day you were born, “‘You’ were the Priority of their life above and beyond everything”. Nothing else but your happiness became their satisfaction. Your achievement, the Pride that satiates the unfulfilled aspirations of their lives. And seeing you in pain can be the worst part of their life.

The above sketch is a father and a son. Observing it carefully, there can be various perceptions about the message it is trying to convey. The sentiments that flow out of my mind lights me towards purity. Selflessness and trust are derived from the bond in this relation. And the head that bows down in respect is what touches my heart.

“Purity is the essence of any relationship and respect is something that binds it for life.”

The Right Time

The Right Time!

Reading the above 3 words can be best described by the abstract emotion ‘Patience’. It is possessed by everyone but hardly sustained. When the waiting time becomes to long to survive only a few people have the hope to certainty and can go till the end.

Efforts that have been laid to achieve the goal are not the same every time but so are the results. Trying to observe, understand and then overcome a certain situation becomes very important for an individual who is losing faith in himself. As it was only because of strong will and dedication it was possible for him to make a journey so far. Time itself is an important factor that leads to success.

‘The London Eye’ takes a total of 45 minutes to take a complete round. It spins slowly so that the ones on board can take the maximum advantage of the ride and please themselves with the magnificent panorama of the horizons. As far as the eyes can reach, there are silhouettes that can never be recreated. They’re unique by themselves and the time spent feels a lot less for that distinct sight. We can see how time is important for each and every activity. Sometimes it’s too quick to realise the occurrence and there are times when it keeps dragging. But the important thing is what has brought you so far and will take to the goal, all you need to do is wait for the right time and the experience would be priceless to make you feel the joy of all the efforts put down to achieve it. The Magic of Nature

When you have such wonderful silhouettes in the sky and the sound of birds with the wind touching you, who needs a 4D show.

Sitting long hours near the waterfront, and experiencing the flow of thoughts that flood your minds and reach to the extremes which cannot be possible in real times.

That is the magic of nature. The feelings are unique and every individual can be in a diffrent place at the same time. And come up with a story that is worth to tell. The lessons learned from life are the ones that pop first in the head.

For the ones madly in love and living apart, miss their other like never before. thier nerves feel the pumping heart and their eyes want a sight. A single touch is enough for that moment. And it is a moment saying’I Wish’….

As the only thing a kid wants to do is run after the birds even if it scares them. That is the death of fright and a step towards being independant and fearless.

As there are many stories that can come out at the same place. But the feeling is always pure and true. And that’s what is same.

The magic of nature

Time well spent….

We get so much involved with the daily buzz of life and it’s schedules that we forget to do the things we love,
we’re so much fatigued that we aren’t in any mood to devote some part of the day to ourselves or to the things we state as hobbies, they’re just on our Bio.
Considering all of these aspects we should also not forget to be happy. Be enlightened for a while and it will add to your day making it more better.

Be Optimistic and attract all of the happiness towards you from the Universe.
